We believe that the holiday season is about more than just celebrations—it's about giving back. That's why, every year, we embrace the spirit of the season with our Warm the Soles initiative, a cherished tradition that has been making a difference in our community since 1994. Through this program, we collect your donations to purchase new shoes for children in need, bringing warmth and joy to families who might otherwise struggle to provide this basic necessity. 

Bringing Joy and Comfort to Hundreds of Children Each Year 

Each year, Warm the Soles provides roughly 800 pairs of shoes to children across the community, ensuring that hundreds of kids start the new year with a fresh pair of shoes and a sense of care from those around them. But we don't just stop at providing shoes—we also make sure each pair is gift-wrapped, adding a little extra holiday magic for the kids who receive them. 

A Long-Standing Commitment 

Warm the Soles began as a way for UFirst to give back to local families. Over the years, the initiative has grown beyond our organization, gaining the support of the Utah League of Credit Unions and a broad network of contributors. We are grateful that so many people—including you—have chosen to join us in making a difference. 

The Impact of Your Donation 

With 8.5% of Utah's children living at or below the poverty level, according to the Utah Department of Health and Human Services, many families face the tough decision of how to allocate their limited resources. By donating to Warm the Soles, you're helping to relieve a small but important part of this burden. Shoes are more than just footwear; they are essential for children's comfort, health, and confidence.
